THE BEAUTY OF AFRICA


Africa is the third largest continent in the world (30.22405 million km²) after Asia and America and the second most populous (1,032,532.974 to 2011) after Asia. There are 53 sovereign States. on the African continent: South Africa, Ethiopia. Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Djibouti, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger , Chad, Central African Republic, Gabon, Congo, Madagascar, Togo, Cameroon, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Libya, Eritrea, Somalia, Guinea Bissau, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique. and the Western Sahara.


Geographically, Africa is divided into five regions namely North Africa, East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, and South Africa. The African continent is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea in the north, the Indian Ocean in the south and east, and the Atlantic Ocean in the west.

African nature consists of five parts: 1. a mountainous region: the Atlas Mountains in the north and mountains in southern Drakens. 2. Plato: Plato Fauta Jallon in the west as well as Plato Jos, Adamaous, Banga, said, Tibesi, and Cameroon. 3. Great Rift Valley region that extends from Anatolia to the lake

Malawi pass through the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Lake Turkana and Lake Victoria. 4. The basin area that forms the watershed, swamps, and deserts such as the Niger basin, the Congo, Kalahari, and Chad. 5. The coastal plain beyond the plateau region.

The highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro (+6010 m) located in Tanzania. Gunug other mountains: Mount Kenya, Mount Marrah, Mount Ruwensori, and Mount Elgon. In northern Africa there is the Sahara and Libyan Desert, while in the south there is the Kalahari and the Namib Desert.

The Nile, the longest river in the world (6,690 km). Another river: the Congo, Niger, Limpopo, Zambezi and Orange. Lake: Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Nyasa, Lake Chad, and Lake Nasser.

Most areas of tropical Africa, except the extreme north and the south. In both regions, the climate began to enter the subtropical zone. This condition greatly affects the distribution of plants and animals that live in Africa. Therefore, plants that live in Africa is a combination of plants of tropical rain like some mosses, ferns, shrubs and leafy plants in the Central African region and West Africa. In the northern region, plant life is generally a type of grass, shrubs and soft-stemmed plants. Similarly, in the south, plants that live mostly of grasses, shrubs, and plants trunked soft.

Animal species that live in North Africa is a blend of different types of animals typical of Eurasia, was in the central and southern regions, generally the type of animals big and strong like a lion, elephant, hyena, ostrich, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, giraffe, buffalo, and etc.
